The production of Shuriedo’s wooden tools follows an equally artisanal path. The wood used undergoes a lengthy preservation and treatment process to ensure it is completely dry and ready to work with. Once the wood is in optimal condition, our artisans begin the manual processes of scraping, smoothing, cutting, drilling, and carving. Unlike industrial production, each tool is hand-shaped, guaranteeing a unique piece every time.
